How to Get There
Pithoragarh District is well connected by road. Kathgodam, the nearest rail-head, is about 7-8 hours drive away, while Pantnagar, the nearest airport, is a 12 hour drive. The recommended option is to take a train to Kathgodam (times and fares can be checked here), and from there a taxi to Pithoragrah, with a stop over in the villages in Ranikhet and Bageshwar, where sister co-operative homestays are available. Pickup from Kathgodam can also be arranged for guests.
The nearest airport is Delhi. There is an increasing number of international flights to Delhi, with carriers including Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Air India and Jet Airways.
