How to get there
Purulia is easily accessible by road. It is 295km from Kolkata International Airport, which is a 4-5 hour drive west, and 119km from Ranchi Airport, 2-3 hours east by road. There are regular taxi services available from both Kolkata and Ranchi. There is also a rail link from Kolkata to Purulia. The Purulia Express runs from Howrah Station in Kolkata to Purulia Junction daliy, except Saturdays.
Ranchi and Kolkata are a short flight from Delhi, which serves an increasing number of international routes, with carriers including Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Air India and Jet Airways.
